Sunday Youth - Aftershock
The youth, grades 6 through 12, meets in the room behind the sanctuary. There they are led by Dr. Jay Salomon, and his wife, Mary Beth. Jennifer Kampwerth will also be helping out.
Please join us for AfterSHOCK in the youth room each Sunday after the worship service. AfterSHOCK is a name we came up with since it is “after” the worship service and it is taken from Acts 4:31 - “After they prayed, the place where they were meeting was shaken. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly.” We will spend time hanging out and studying God’s Word. This summer we will be teaching the book/DVD series called Not a Fan by Kyle Idleman. It’s about becoming a committed follower of Christ, and not just a fan. This fall we will be starting up a new curriculum by Answers in Genesis. All of our children’s classes, along with the teens, will be using this curriculum which goes through the entire Bible in four years. Also, the first Sunday of each month in AfterSHOCK will be “Service Sunday.” Instead of our regular class, we will be serving throughout the church by helping in the younger classes, washing communion dishes, or any other ways we can think of!

Wednesday night Youth Group - Frontline
Frontline (6th grade - 12th grade) will be meeting every Wednesday from 6:30pm to 8:00pm starting August 21. We will kick-off the year with a pool party and dinner at the Salomon Residence. Following that, we will meet every Wednesday at the church in the youth room. There will be time for hanging out (and of course, food!), games, and a Bible study time. We will be using the book, 7 Checkpoints for Student Leaders by Andy Stanley. Dr. Jay will be teaching on important and critical issues that teens face today. Some of these include having an authentic faith, moral boundaries, having healthy friendships and making wise choices. There will be practical applications given along with biblical principles that hopefully will make a life-changing impact.
